Fibromyalgia symptoms Problem happens most often in women who are perimenopausal or postmenopausal. This indicates that reducing women extra change may be involved in the development of fibromaylgia.

Hormone replacement therapy has many health benefits. Fibromyalgia is just one of them. It can also reduce the pain of severe migraine and help alleviate the risk of colon cancer. Depression will swallow your emotions unless you overcome the trials every woman will undergo in this stage of life.

There are a lot of things we can consider as a treatment to a certain disease, but we need to consult first a doctor or health expert if that certain method is suitable for us. I can read many good feed back regarding with hormone therapy, and I think it would be one good way for treating fibromyalgia.

I appreciate your willingness to explore this concept of HRT here, but I would like to offer a bit of context. What I see in many forms of fibromyalgia treatment is a repetition of the 'magic bullet' theory of western medicine. While the concept of 'one disease-one medication' can be well applied to infections and some other illnesses, using this mindset to treat chronic disease is an exercise in futility. Yes, HRT can provide some benefit, but I would urge readers to understand that every aspect of their physiology and functionality needs to be addressed and supported in order to overcome the illness.

I clearly state in the opening post of my blog which summarizes the treatments that I discuss "There is no one treatment that can 'cure' these syndromes (CFS & FMS) or that is helpful to everyone however a combined approach of therapies can lead to an improved quality of life. HRT is one of many therapies that may be helpful but at best it is an "adjunct" treatment.

Weaning off hormones by tapering the dosage is a much more effective way of stopping hormone replacement therapy.

Hormone therapy is no longer recommended for disease prevention, such as heart disease or memory loss. However, further review of clinical trials and new evidence show that hormone therapy may be a good choice for certain women, depending on their risk factors.
